SUPERSONIC RECORDINGS is a modern, air conditioned recording facility located in a commercial factory in the centre of the music industry at St. Kilda. Our studio is designed to be versitile and combines analogue and digital recording equipment to ensure that only the highest standard recordings are produced at the facility.
When you choose to use our Protools HD system, you can record 32 channels in and out at any one time, therefore, the typical five piece band (drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals) can be recorded live with additional over dubs added later. Alternatively, if you choose to use Radar or the Studer A80 2 inch tape machine, they record up to 24 channels in and out and can be linked to the Protools system for further editing.
These are industry standard recording systems that are compatible with all major studios worldwide, allowing the transfer of digital or analogue recordings to other studios, if so desired.
The unique design of the studio floor plan allows recording versatility from soloists to full bands. Dedicated, insulated acoustic booths provide great audio separation whilst maintaining visual communication between all performing booths and the control room. This results in faster recording times which, consequently, lowers the cost.
Supersonic Recordings includes the cost of an inhouse Engineer for all recording projects, additionally several well credentialed Producers with a proven track record are available for your project, if you so desire. Please refer to our Members log on for details and pricing.
